Venus Williams made a clean sweep of the tennis medal events Thursday. One day after taking the women's singles title, Venus paired with sister Serena to beat the Netherlands' Miriam Oremans and Kristie Boogert 6-1, 6-1 for the gold medal in women's doubles. Venus is the first woman to win a gold in singles and doubles since 1924. Earlier, Russian Yevgeny Kafelnikov outlasted Tommy Haas to win the gold in men's singles.
