Van Dyken Loses Race, But Not Face

Van Dyken took her time leaving the pool.
Amy Van Dyken pulled off a huge upset in the 50-meter freestyle in the 1996 Atlanta Games. But four years and two shoudler surgeries later, the American settled for fourth. Inge de Bruijn won the gold in the event Saturday, while Dara Torres won the bronze. It was the last race of Van Dyken's career after she won her fifth career gold in the 400 freestyle relay in Sydney.
