His hands: He has quick reflexes and hands. One of the best gloves out there, although he tends to stay too deep in his net, giving up more room than he has to. His feet: He has terrific feet. Covers the low part of the net as well as anyone. His stick: Around the net, he has mastered the paddle down. He is conservative in his puckhandling decisions, but has been going to his backhand more often, reversing the flow. His technique: He plays a "V" style with an upright upper body. He plays deep in his net, wanting you to shoot and relying on calmness and reflexes.
Patrick Roy, Colorado
His hands: The positioning of his hands is his biggest strength. He used to keep his glove lower, but has made an adjustment to counter right handers that go glove high. His feet: He gets so square to the shooter, there isn't much room. He is not slowing down and gets the pad along the ice and square to the puck. His stick: Has improved his puckhandling, but still gives the puck away too often. Not an aggressive pokechecker; lets the player come to him. His technique: He is patient in his stance, plays a percentage style and gives up very little room. The best butterfly stance of all time.
