Amassed 422 yards (265 passing, 157 rushing), ran for three touchdowns and threw a 25-yard TD pass on Indiana's first offensive play in overtime, giving the Hoosiers a 34-31 victory over Illinois.

Grove City
Had an 80-yard touchdown run and gained 270 yards on 28 carries, tying a Division III record with his 11th 200-yard game in a 56-0 victory over Thiel. He now has 59 touchdowns in 25 games at Grove City.
Adrian Peterson
Georgia Southern
Rushed for 211 yards, his 20th consecutive game with 100 yards or more rushing, and the Eagles outgained VMI 649-90 in a 62-0 victory. The Keydets were coming off a 58-0 loss to Furman last week.
Steven Pulley
San Jose State
Tied a school record with 15 catches for 255 yards and two TDs as San Jose State defeated Stanford 44-39.
BUZZER-BEATERS  
Staying power Jacksonville's Gary Cooper hit Corey Donnell with a 39-yard scoring pass in the second overtime to lift the Dolphins to a 28-21 victory over Austin Peay.
Booty call comes up short No. 11 Georgia beat LSU 23-22, its second one-point victory in two weeks. The Tigers scored with 18 seconds remaining, only to see Josh Booty's 2-point conversion pass batted away by a leaping Will Witherspoon.
Desert Flowers in bloom Delvon Flowers took a screen pass 49 yards for the decisive touchdown with 23 seconds left as Arizona State defeated UCLA 28-27.
STREAKING  
Lehigh on top of the mountain Phil Stambaugh threw for 272 yards and five touchdowns and Ron Jean rushed for 179 yards as Lehigh extended its regular-season winning streak to a Division I-best 16 games with a 63-13 victory over Columbia.
Gamecocks fall again South Carolina extended its losing streak to 15 games -- the longest in Division I -- with a 36-10 loss to Mississippi. The Gamecocks have lost their first five this season, head coach Lou Holtz's longest streak to open a season since 1969-70.
Cougars conquer losing streak Steve Birnbaum threw for two TDs and ran for one as Washington State beat California 31-7, breaking a school-record 12-game losing streak. The streak started last season with a loss to Cal.
BATTLE OF THE HAVE-NOTS  
Not-so titanic Texas tussle Baylor beat North Texas 23-10, snapping a 10-game losing streak. Baylor and North Texas went into the game with two of the nation's lowest scoring offenses -- Baylor ranked 100th among 114 Division I-A teams and North Texas 110th -- and both showed it in a first half that ended with Baylor ahead 9-3 and all the points coming on field goals.
RECORD-SETTERS  
Trout a good catch Nate Trout had three field goals and five extra points to become Syracuse's career scoring leader with 304 points, eight more than John Biskup's previous mark. No. 19 Syracuse defeated Tulane 47-17.
Stanford sensation Troy Walters had 10 catches for 186 yards and two TDs, breaking the Pac-10 career record with 3,331 yards receiving. Walters surpassed the mark of 3,201 yards by Southern California's Johnnie Morton.
