LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) _ Adrian Peterson rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as Georgia Southern, the top-rated team in Division I-AA, routed VMI 62-0. It was the 20th game in a row that Peterson, a sophomore, has rushed for 100 yards or more, one shy of the NCAA Division I-AA record set by Frank Hawkins of Nevada-Reno in 1979-80. It also was Peterson's eighth career 200-yard effort. The Eagles (4-1, 3-0 Southern Conference) scored touchdowns on their first four possessions. By half-time Georgia Southern had outgained the Keydets 437 to 9 and built a 42-0 lead. VMI (1-4, 0-2) was coming off a 58-0 loss to Furman last week.
