The lowdown
2000-01 record: 21-13; 9-7 in A-10 (2nd in West)
Final Ranking: NR
Postseason: Lost to Detroit 59-42 in third round of NIT.

Three Questions for 2001-02
1. Who will replace Tony Stanley's production on a nightly basis?

2. Can the Flyers count on the Brooks Hall of his freshman year? Rather than the inconsistent and oft-injured sophomore year version of Hall.

3. Best battle will be at point guard. Who will get the major minutes? Ramod Marshall or David Morris.

Three Key Facts
1. With 21 wins last season, Dayton eclipsed the 20-win plateau for just the fourth time since 1989-90, but for the third time in four seasons.

2. Keith Waleskowski, who blossomed into a top freshman in the A-10 after a redshirt season, is the 14th Flyer to hail from Alter High School. Former Dayton all-American and NBA All-Star Jim Paxson also prepped at Alter High.

3. While the Flyers missed out on the NCAA Tournament after reaching the dance in 2000, their home court was used for the inaugural NCAA play-in game -- and will again be the site of the No. 64 vs. No. 65 matchup next March.

Andy Katz's Scenarios
Best case: Enough talent to win the A-10 West and get an NCAA bid.

Worst case: Could fall to third if Hall is off again.
