Knicks playbook: Zo and his turnovers
Coach's Edge

Alonzo Mourning has done well in the playoffs, averaging 20 points and 10 boards per game. But a problem has been his propensity for turnovers. 'Zo had nine in Game 4, and that was a key to the Heat loss. For the most part, he's had his way with Ewing, but if the Heat are going to pull it out, Zo needs to be In the Zone both offensively and defensively.

ANIMATE THIS PLAY DIAGRAM WITH SHOCKWAVE
(A) The bread and butter for the Heat consists of Alonzo Mourning (33) down low. Here, Jamal Mashburn (24) dribble-penetrates off P.J. Brown's (42) high ball screen. This takes the action away from Mourning's (33) side.
(B) If nothing's there, Dan Majerle (9) takes the handoff from Mashburn (24). As the ball reverses, Mourning (33) establishes his position. 'Zo is In his Zone - the paint - and he posts up strong to receive the feed.
