MONTREAL (Ticker) -- Dainius Zubrus' power-play goal with 14:48 left in the third period lifted the Montreal Canadiens into a 3-3 exhibition tie with the Ottawa Senators.

Zubrus was stationed in the slot when he took a pass from rookie Mike Ribeiro and beat Jani Hurme for his second preseason goal.

The Senators took a 3-1 lead early in the second period on Rob Zamuner's goal, but Martin Rucinsky answered just over six minutes later with his sixth preseason tally.

Brian Savage had the other goal and Jose Theodore made 32 saves for Montreal, which is 2-4-2 in exhibition play. The Canadiens were without injured regulars Benoit Brunet, Patrice Brisebois, Scott Thornton and Vladimir Malakhov.

Marian Hossa and Vaclav Prospal scored in the opening period for the Senators, who lost defenseman Janne Laukkanen in the first period to a hamstring injury.

Hurme made 19 saves for Ottawa, which has just one loss in seven preseason contests.
