FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ Shawn Marion scored 23 points and Phoenix held the Minnesota Timberwolves to 32.9 percent shooting in the Suns' 86-77 preseason victory Friday night. Marion went 8-of-14 from the field and had eight rebounds for the Suns (3-2), who were without starters Tom Gugliotta and Penny Hardaway. Kevin Garnett led the Timberwolves (2-3) with 11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, but he made just 2-of-15 field goal attempts. Joe Smith added 10 points. Rodney Rogers had 14 points for the Suns, Cliff Robinson 13 and Jason Kidd 11. Minnesota was without injured point guard Terrell Brandon and shooting guard Wally Szczerbiak. Both players participated in the pre-game shootaround but did not dress for the game.
