GAME BALL GOES TO |
Curtis Williams. In an emotionl pregame meeting, Williams, paralyzed during the Stanford game, greeted the Huskies as they walked in the locker room. After every big play, they pointed to the Press Box, where Williams was watching, and at the end of the game happily announced they got the ring for "C-Dub." He didn't play a down, but he made the most impact on the field.

"Washington may be the best team in the nation, and if Oklahoma loses to Flordia St. on Wednesday, I would give Washington the No. 1 vote. They proved they could beat excellent teams and that they were truly champions. And they beat two other champions, miami and purdue. They deserved a shot at Oklahoma. "
