Albert Pujols
He might be "Phat," but more Page 2 readers prefer to call the Cardinals' power-hitting rookie "Winnie the Pujols."
Oh, bother. In one of the narrowest votes for a case of The Berman Files, "Winnie the Pujols" edged "Phat Albert" in balloting to choose a nickname for St. Louis Cardinals slugging sensation Albert Pujols.

"Winnie the Pujols" (29.2 percent) beat "Phat Albert" (29 percent) by just 12 votes after more than 4,100 ballots were tallied since Thursday. "The Whopper" was third with 16.5 percent.

Nickname expert Chris Berman also prefers "Winnie the Pujols," and has used it on the air occasionally. In fact, Pujols' mother loves that nickname, Berman said. Tough to beat that endorsement.

Earlier in the week, Page 2 readers filled our mailbag with more than 1,300 letters suggesting a nickname for Pujols. Below are the best nickname ideas we received for Pujols.
