PHOENIX (AP) _ Jason Kidd scored 21 points to lead six Phoenix players in double figures as the Suns beat the Los Angeles Clippers 103-96 in an exhibition game Tuesday night. Shawn Marion had 19 points, Rodney Rogers added 16 and Rex Chapman added 13 for the Suns, who won for the first time in three preseason games. Penny Hardaway, obtained in a trade from Orlando in the offseason, scored 12 and Randy Livingston added 10 for Phoenix. Tyrone Nesby and Derek Anderson each scored 18 points and Lamar Odom added 14 for the Clippers, who had their two-game winning streak snapped despite having six players score in double figures. Marion had three straight steals and scored four points as the Suns scored the first eight points of the game, and his dunk at the buzzer gave Phoenix a 58-50 lead at halftime. Michael Olowakandi capped a 7-0 run with a basket as Los Angeles pulled within 66-62 with 5:02 remaining in the third quarter. But Chapman hit a pair of 3-pointers as Phoenix built an eight-point lead at the end of the third, and Livingston had consecutive baskets to give the Suns a 92-79 lead with 8:34 to go.
