 January 26, 2000 Suzy Kolber, who co-hosted the first two summer X Games with Chris Fowler, will co-host her first Winter X Games, reuniting with Fowler. Kolber rejoined ESPN in 1999 after a three-year absence. Fowler, who has hosted all five summer X Games, will work his third consecutive Winter X Games as host. Alternative sports legends Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman will highlight a group of former and current athletes on hand for the action, televised by ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC Sports. Additional athletes/alternative sports personalities returning from previous X Games coverage will include Selema Masekela, Mark Shays, and Cameron Steele. Athletes who will work as commentators for individual sports include "Insane" Wayne Croasdale (snow mountain biking), Shane Szocs (skiing) Darian Boyle (skiing), Morgan Lafonte (snowboarding) and Tayt Tindal (Skiboarding). EXPN 2Day host Rick Thorne will work the Games as a host set reporter.
