MONTREAL (AP) _ Robert Person pitched a four-hitter for the first complete game of his major league career, leading the Philadelphia Phillies over the Montreal Expos 8-0 Wednesday night.

Person (3-1) retired his first 11 batters before Rondell White's two-out single to left in the fourth. Lee Stevens got a leadoff single in the fifth, Lenny Webster hit a two-out double in the eighth and Jose Vidro doubled leading off the ninth.

Making his 65th career start and 29th for the Phillies, Person struck out five and walked four.

Kevin Jordan went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, including a two-run single in the ninth.

Doug Glanville, Rico Brogna, Mike Lieberthal, Jordan and Desi Relaford each had two hits. Brogna left after he was struck on the left wrist by a Matt Blank pitch that loaded the bases in the ninth.

Javier Vazquez (3-1) gave up five runs _ four earned _ and 10 hits in five-plus innings.

Jordan hit a run-scoring single in the second, Vazquez threw a run-scoring wild pitch and Glanville had an RBI double as Philadelphia took a 3-0 lead in the second.

Person hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth, a ball that right fielder Vladimir Guerrero dropped for his third error of the season. Ron Gant added an RBI groundout.

Felipe Lira relieved Vazquez in that inning and drew the attention of Phillies manager Terry Francona after getting Glanville to ground to third baseman Michael Barrett, who threw home to retire Jordan for the first out.

Plate umpire Ron Kulpa examined dirt stains on Lira's right pants leg, conferred with crew chief Angel Hernandez, then conferred with the rest of the crew before the game resumed.

Mike Johnson walked in a run in the ninth.

Notes: Person fell down while sacrificing Relaford to second in the fourth and was thrown out at first by SS Orlando Cabrera when his bunt rolled past 3B Michael Barrett. ... Phillies starters have gone seven innings or more in nine of their last 10 games, and at least six innings in each of those games. ... Person is 2-0 and hasn't allowed a run in 18 innings in three appearances at Olympic Stadium. ... Expos closer Ugueth Urbina felt pain in his right elbow prior to the game and was not available to pitch. Urbina, who led the NL with 41 saves last season, will have an MRI performed on his elbow tomorrow. Urbina struck out the side to record his eighth save in his last outing, on Sunday in Milwaukee. ... INF Andy Tracy was recalled from Triple-A Ottawa. Tracy went 11-for-31 (.355) with two RBIs in eight games for the Lynx after he was optioned to Ottawa on May 1.
