LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Eddie Taubensee, batting cleanup for the first time since 1998, matched his career-high with four RBIs Saturday night as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4.

Taubensee's two-run double off Alan Mills (0-1) in the seventh snapped a 3-3 tie. Barry Larkin and Ken Griffey Jr. drew two-out walks before Taubensee lined a 2-2 pitch into the right-field corner.

Scott Williamson (1-1) got two outs for the victory. Danny Graves pitched two innings to earn his team's first save of the season.

Todd Hollandsworth doubled to lead off the ninth and moved to third on a single by Devon White. Mark Grudzielanek followed with an RBI groundout, advancing White to second base. One out later, Graves walked Gary Sheffield before getting Eric Karros to ground out to end the game.

The loss snapped a five-game Dodgers' winning streak, which equaled their longest since they won seven straight in 1997.

Taubensee, who had four RBIs in a game five times previously, gave the Reds a 2-0 lead by hitting a two-out, two-run homer off rookie Eric Gagne in the first.

Denny Neagle pitched shutout ball until Sheffield hit a two-out, three-run homer in the fifth to put the Dodgers ahead 3-2.

The Reds tied the game off Jeff Williams in the sixth when Dante Bichette hit a one-out double and scored on D.T. Cromer's single.

Gagne, recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to make the start, allowed two runs and three hits in five innings. Neagle was lifted after giving up four hits and three runs in 5 1-3 innings.

Notes: Sheffield has hit safely in all 11 Dodgers games with four homers and 12 RBIs. He has hit in 17 straight games dating to last year, with nine homers in those 17 games. ... Gagne was expected to be a member of the Dodgers' starting rotation entering spring training, but was optioned to Albuquerque after going 0-2 with a 15.63 ERA in four exhibition games. ... Sean Casey, normally the Reds' first baseman, hit off a tee Friday, took soft-toss batting practice Saturday, and might take live batting practice Sunday. McKeon said he expects Casey, who broke his right thumb in the final exhibition game, to be sidelined another 10 days or so. Casey hit .332 last season. ... Taubensee's homer, a drive just inside the right-field foul pole that traveled an estimated 402 feet, was just the eighth ever hit into the second level of seats in the 39-year history of Dodger Stadium. The homer was the first for Taubensee, who hit a career-high 21 last year.
