TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Tim Salmon went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, powering a split squad of Anaheim Angels to a 12-9 Cactus League victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Salmon had two doubles before smacking a solo shot, his sixth of the spring, off reliever Mike Morgan in a four-run seventh. Mo Vaughn added a two-run blast and rookie catcher Bengie Molina drove in two runs for Anaheim. Kent Bottenfield got the start in his first appearance for the Angels since coming over in the Jim Edmonds trade. He picked up the win, despite allowing four runs and eight hits in five innings. Starter Brian Anderson went four innings for the Diamondbacks and was reached for two runs and three hits with four strikeouts. Jim Corsi surrendered five runs and five hits while retiring only two batters. Travis Lee was 3-for-4 with three RBI and Erubiel Durazo had three hits and scored twice for Arizona.
