PEORIA, Arizona (Ticker) -- Steve Decker, Larry Barnes and Orlando Palmeiro hit solo homers off a shaky Sterling Hitchcock as a split squad of Anaheim Angels rolled to an 8-1 Cactus League win over the San Diego Padres.

Decker and Barnes homered in the third inning and Palmeiro went deep in the fourth as Hitchcock struggled through his worst outing of the spring.

Hitchcock, who is expected to be one of San Diego's top starters this season, was roughed up for eight runs -- seven earned -- and 14 hits in six innings.

Palmeiro, Barnes and Benji Gil had three hits apiece and Decker went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Angeles, who banged out 15 hits.

Ken Hill picked up the win after allowing one run and three hits in six innings. Alan Levine and Shigetoshi Hasegawa combined for three innings of scoreless relief.

Eric Owens drove in San Diego's only run with an RBI single in the first inning.
