First of all, let us say thank you to Mike Tyson.

It's not that we condone his behavior, but there's just so much more to write about with Tyson around. We needed somebody to fill the void left by the XFL, didn't we?

Anyway, Iron Mike was in rare form Tuesday for his testimony before the Nevada State Athletic Commission in an attempt to get a boxing license. He lost that battle mostly because of the brawl he started during a press conference to announce a bout against Lennox Lewis, but in Tyson's honor we devote our latest Bizarre and Bogus to the former heavyweight champion.

Below we've compiled five quotes attributed to Tyson either before during or after the hearing. There's also one that we made up. Take a look at them all, then click here to see which one isn't true.

Tyson-Lewis brawl
Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis were ready to rumble earlier than expected.

  • No. 1 "I'm no Mother Teresa. I'm not Charles Manson, either. Just treat me equal."

  • No. 2 "The only refuge from despair is to protect one's ego into the world."

  • No. 3 "It was just a horrible situation. I wish it wouldn't have happened. I'm going to have to deal with it the rest of my life and explain it to my kids."

  • No. 4 "I'm crazy, but I'm not crazy like that. I might want to have sex in a crazy place, but I don't want to kill or rape anybody."

  • No. 5 "You don't know me. You don't know if I'm a victim or not. You don't know my horror stories."

  • No. 6 "No, it doesn't look like there'll be a fight. I don't know. I think Lennox is a coward. I'm going to fight him any time I see him in the street."
