If you guessed the cheating lugers, you're right. We made that one up, but the rest of them are true. Here's some more background on these tales:

Generous enforcer: TrueCheating lugers: False
Denis Gauthier
Gauthier has pledged a minimum of $10,000 this season to the Special Olympics. Last season he missed 20 games but still led the Flames and was ninth in the NHL with 252 hits. He would've donated $7,560 based on those stats.
lugers
No, there's no cheating in luging. We made up that one. Pictured are the U.S. two-man luge team of Pat Anderson, bottom, and Brian Wohlleb.

Soccer mascots: TrueMadonna the hunter: True
British soccer mascots
The Brits believe mascot violence has gotten out of hand, following recent incidents when Bury's Robby the Bobby mooned Stoke City supporters in September and then brawled with Cardiff's Bartly the Bluebird on Nov. 7. "(The new code of conduct is) not going to be something that's legally enforceable but will show what mascots should and should not be doing," said a Football Association spokesman.
Madonna
Yep, Madonna and Ted Nugent have more in common than their Michigan backgrounds. In an interview with BBC Radio One, Madonna said some of her happiest moments occurred while walking in the English countryside and pheasant shooting. "I eat birds," she said. "You have more of a respect for the things you eat when you go through or see the process of killing them."

Fairleigh Dickinson arrests: TrueSucker-punching
boxer: True
Douglas Whitler
If Lloyd Price and Douglas Whitler (pictured at left) are found guilty of armed robbery charges their next TV appearance will be on "America's Dumbest Criminals" and not the NCAA Tournament. The Teaneck, N.J., clerk who was robbed said he believed the robber was a Fairleigh Dickinson student who often bought money orders at the store.
James Butler
After the announcement that Richard Grant had outpointed James Butler (pictured), "The Harlem Hammer" floored Grant with a sucker-punch. Butler was escorted out of the arena, arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
