TORONTO Brett Lindros is recovering from a snowmobile
accident, and his father thinks he might be released from the
hospital this weekend.
Lindros, a former NHL player and the younger brother of hockey
star Eric Lindros, was listed in fair condition at Toronto's
Sunnybrook hospital. The hospital did not say Wednesday when he
would be discharged.
"Things are coming along well. He's walking around," his
father, Carl Lindros, said Wednesday. "He'll be discharged
probably this weekend."
Brett Lindros was on the back of a snowmobile driven by friend
Dan Cameron early Sunday when the machine crashed into a rocky
shoreline on Crane Lake, about three hours north of Toronto.
Lindros was riding with Cameron because his own snowmobile had
earlier crashed through the ice, police said.
Police say alcohol was a factor in the accident. A blood sample
from Cameron has been sent for testing. Results could take 4-6
weeks. As a passenger, Lindros did not have to provide a blood
sample. Send this story to a friend
