CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Tyson Nash and Scott Pellerin scored 1:51 apart to cap a wild second period as the St. Louis Blues rolled to an 8-5 exhibition victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Rookie Jaroslav Obsut broke a 4-4 tie with a power-play goal midway through the second period, lifting a wrist shot under the crossbar after teammate Jochen Hecht fanned on Pavol Demitra's centering pass.

Nash made it 6-4 with 2:17 to go in the period before Pellerin beat Jocelyn Thibault on a shorthanded breakaway.

Eric Daze's sixth preseason tally lifted Chicago within a goal five minutes into the third period, but Michal Handzus answered with an insurance marker at 16:19.

Daze, Alexei Zhamnov and Tony Amonte scored in the first period for the Blackhawks, offsetting tallies by Jamal Mayers, Geoff Courtnall and Jim Campbell.

Thibault stopped only 25 of 33 shots for Chicago, while Roman Turek made 24 saves for the Blues.
