Few experts gave the Cardinals much chance to win their NFC wild-card game in Dallas. No one expected the Cards to dominate. Shutting down the Cowboys with a suffocating defense, the Cardinals earned their first playoff victory since 1947 with a 20-7 upset. Arizona sacked Troy Aikman four times and picked off three of his passes in beating the Cowboys for only the second time in their last 18 meetings. Jake Plummer threw two TD passes, and Adrian Murrell ripped off a 74-yard run as the cardiac Cards earned a second-round date with the top-seeded Vikings.
