Bucks still winless on road

RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME FLOW

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Reserve point guard Chris Whitney scored eight of Washington's final 13 points Saturday night to lift the Wizards to a 107-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Juwan Howard scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Wizards snapped a two-game losing streak and dropped the Bucks' road record to 0-5.

Richard Hamilton added 18 points off the bench for Washington, which got a career-high 13 rebounds from reserve forward Cherokee Parks.

Ray Allen led Milwaukee (3-9) with 37 points, shooting 8-of-18 from the field and 19-of-20 at the line. Sam Cassell, who fouled out with 59.4 seconds left, added 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The Bucks, who won their final three road games last season, play at Miami and Orlando before returning to Milwaukee.

The Wizards went through one of their familiar lapses midway through the third quarter. After failing to draw a foul on Tim Thomas, who blocked his shot, Felipe Lopez was whistled for a technical at the other end for protesting a blocking call on Jahidi White.

Thomas answered with a steal and assisted Allen on a running dunk for a 70-62 lead with 5:33 remaining in the third.

The Bucks hit five of their first eight shots and took an 18-6 lead on Ervin Johnson's layup with 5:09 left in the first quarter.

After the Wizards missed seven of their first 10 shots, Hamilton gave them a lift off the bench with a 3-pointer. Following a slam by Jahidi White, Rod Strickland then scored seven straight, capped by a three-point play with 1:35 left, pulling the Wizards an 18-18 tie.

Lindsay Hunter's driving layup with 1 second left gave Milwaukee a 50-48 halftime lead.
