HOUSTON (AP) _ Tim Duncan scored 25 points, Samaki Walker had 20 and Danny Ferry hit two clutch free throws with 7.5 seconds to play as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Houston Rockets 101-98 in an exhibition game Saturday night.

Derrick Dial scored 11 points and Chris Carrawell finished with 10 for the Spurs (3-3).

Cuttino Mobley scored 25 points, Kenny Thomas added 18 and Steve Francis finished with 15 for Houston (4-2). Francis led all rebounders with 12.

The Rockets, who trailed 54-51 at halftime, opened the third quarter with a 13-4 run for a 64-58 lead.

But the Spurs kept pace behind Walker and Duncan, who scored 10 apiece in the period.
