DENVER (AP) _ Antonio McDyess had 23 points and Raef LaFrentz 21, helping the Denver Nuggets snap a seven-game losing streak with a 114-87 victory Friday night over the Los Angeles Clippers. McDyess, benched four minutes into the game by an angry coach Dan Issel for not playing defense, had all of his points after returning to the game late in the first quarter. He also had 15 rebounds. LaFrentz had eight rebounds and six blocked shots, and rookie James Posey added 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Maurice Taylor led the Clippers with 21 points, and Derek Anderson had 11. Denver, leading 54-50 at intermission, shot 53 percent in the third quarter compared to Los Angeles' 35 percent to take an 87-73 lead into the final period. Charles R. Jones cut the deficit to 12 points early in the fourth quarter, but McDyess hit four baskets in the next 2:16 and Denver expanded its lead to 99-80 with 5:29 to go. ^
