The skinny: Rae's Creek runs along the left side of the fairway and crosses in front of the green. Can be reached in
two, and big hitters usually take 3-wood off the tee. Best shape is a right-to-left drive around the corner that sets up a mid-iron for the second shot.
Andy North's analysis: With a great drive, you can hit a big hook around the corner from right to left. On some days you can use a six- or seven-iron. The creek on the left of the fairway is dangerous. But if you can pull it off, you'll be rewarded. On the second shot, you'll use a long iron or fairway wood if you go the safe route on the right side of the fairway.
