KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Tony Meola recorded a shutout in his first home game with the Kansas City Wizards on Sunday, a 2-0 victory over the Miami Fusion.

Meola, who finally made his Wizards debut at Chicago on Wednesday after injuring his knee in the preseason, only had to make three saves as the Fusion got off just nine shots.

Chris Henderson scored in the 30th minute and Preki Radosavljevic in the 64th for Kansas City, which handed Miami its third straight loss and earned its first shutout since a 6-0 win over New York-New Jersey on June 20.

Radosavlevic's goal was his sixth of the season, moving him into a tie with Chris Klein for the team lead.

Alex Bunbury assisted on both goals, his first two-assist game in Major League Soccer.

Wizards defender Scott Vermillion broke his nose in the first half when he was elbowed by Miami's Tyrone Marshall while going for a ball in the air.

It was Vermillion's second injury of the season against the Fusion. In a game at Miami on April 24, he loosened several teeth in a collision with Wizards goalkeeper Chris Snitko.
