Dagenais, Damphousse, Ferland sign with Habs

Montreal Canadiens: Forward Pierre Dagenais and goaltender Jean-Francois Damphousse signed two-year deals with the Canadiens on Friday, while forward Jonathan Ferland agreed to a three-year contract.

Dagenais did not score in nine games with the Florida Panthers last season, but had 21 goals and 14 assists in 49 games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage. In 60 career NHL games with New Jersey and Florida, Dagenais has 13 goals and six assists.

Damphousse played in 41 games with the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks and Saint John Flames last season. He posted a 17-19-4 record with a 2.92 goals-against average and .904 save percentage.

Ferland was the Canadiens' 212th overall pick in the 2002 NHL draft.
