Tests reveal no major damage

Associated Press

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Tests on Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell's throwing hand Tuesday showed he sprained his middle finger, but did not break any bones.

Brunell hurt his left hand Sunday against the Steelers when he slammed it against a Pittsburgh lineman while throwing a pass. He played the last two series of the 25-23 loss with the injury.

Brunell wore a splint on the hand Monday. He said he expects to be limited when the Jaguars return to practice Wednesday.

The Jaguars play Cleveland on Sunday, and if Brunell can't go, either rookie David Garrard or veteran Kent Graham will get the start.
