20 QUESTIONS
1 If you could be a cartoon character or super hero, who would you be and why?
This doesn't really fit either category, but I'd want to be one of Charlie's Angels. They're strong, independent women who have a good balance of strength and femininity.
2 What was your parents' favorite saying?
Whether I'm playing against All-Americans or for anything in my life, my father always tells me, "You belong." He always tells me that I belong among the best.
3 Who's the best player you've ever faced?
Lauren Jackson, who was on the Australian Olympic team. We played against her during our tour of Australia last May.
4 Who's the one player, man or woman, you'd want to take one-on-one?
Dawn Staley. Every time I've met her, she jokes about the North Carolina-Virginia rivalry, so it would be fun to play her.
5 What's your favorite movie?
Remember the Titans.
6 What's your favorite TV show?
Jeopardy.
7 What's the last CD you bought?
N'Sync's No Strings Attached.
8 How did you get started playing basketball?
I used to play in elementary school at recess. I started playing organized basketball in eighth grade when a coach saw me shooting in the gym and asked me to play on her AAU team.
9 Why do you wear your jersey number?
In middle school, I wanted No. 23 because of Michael Jordan. Somebody already had that jersey, so I reversed the numbers and wore 32. When I came to UNC, somebody already had 32, so I took No. 33.
10 What's your favorite pre-game meal?
Quesadillas from Applebee's.
11 What's your favorite junk food?
Twizzlers.
12 If you could invite any three people (dead or alive) to dinner, who would they be?
I'd just invite one: Jesus. I'd love to learn from him and I think it would be interesting to get his point of view on things. I'd be so interested in talking with him that I wouldn't really need to invite other people.
13 If you were stuck on a deserted island, what's the only thing you'd take with you?
A Bible because it would help me maintain hope of getting off the island.
14 What is the one thing you can't get through the day without?
A nap.
15 If a movie was made about you, which actress would you like to see cast to play you?
Sanaa Lathan, who was in Love and Basketball.
16 If you weren't a basketball player, what would you be?
A regular college student.
17 What's something we don't know about you?
I am an aunt. I have a beautiful 10-month-old niece named Jamya Shena. She shares my middle name.
18 If you changed your name, what would you change it to?
I wouldn't change it. I like my name. It's unique.
19 When you think of St. Louis, what do you think of (other than the Final Four)?
Jazz and blues.
20 What has been the greatest moment in your athletic career?*
