Vick Breaking it down: Proved he could stretch a defense with more than his feet, connected on the long ball twice in this rout. Solid passing night on national television only confirmed his status as the Heis-man to beat at this point. Weinke Breaking it down: We'll still argue last week's performance against Miami in defeat will do more than this latest 500-plus-5 effort against an overmatched group of Dukies. But the numbers he's putting up are starting to get gaudy. On pace for over 5,000 yards and 40 TDs, while hitting on 63 percent of his passes. ERIC CROUCH -- NEBRASKA

Crouch Breaking it down: Like Weinke, he was out of game by the end of the third quarter. But, unlike Weinke, didn't put up outrageous numbers in a rout. Do voters care? Should voters care? Crouch doesn't care, as long as Huskers remain unbeaten and No. 1. WOODROW DANTZLER -- CLEMSON

Dantzler Breaking it down: Numbers against the worst defense in the nation were a bit deceiving. A little low at first look, but he made the big plays that got the Tigers in the end zone. Efficiency, however, won't sway votes his way at this point. Brees Breaking it down: After a week away, Brees returns after leading the Boilermakers to an upset of Michigan a week ago. Won't have a problem remaining on the list this week after starring in an offensive showcase of Big 10 schools that don't play like Big 10 schools.
