Virginia Tech's Michael Vick may have struggled in the Hokies' win over Temple Saturday, but it didn't hurt him in ESPN.com's Heisman Poll. Vick, who threw 162 yards, one TD and two interceptions and rushed for 55 yards and a score, received five first place votes and leads with 39 points.

Nebraska's Eric Crouch placed second with two first place votes and 23 points after rushing for 138 yards and a TD and throwing for 164 yards in top-ranked Nebraska's win over Iowa State.

Clemson's Woodrow Dantzler climbs to third after throwing for 220 yards and a TD and rushing for 103 yards and two TDs in a win over North Carolina State.

Purdue's Drew Brees resurfaced this week with one first place vote and tied Florida State's Chris Weinke, who received the other first place vote, for fourth. Brees, who received just one fifth-place vote last week, threw for 286 yards and two TDs in Purdue's come-from-behind win over then-No. 6 Michigan.

Weinke had a career best 496 yards passing and three TDs, but the Seminoles lost to instate rival Miami.

The Heisman Poll features nine ESPN coaches, analysts and writers, and will appear weekly during the season. Panelists are asked to vote for their top five and players are awarded five points for a first-place vote, four for second and so on down the line.
