Users respond to ESPN.com's Bottom 10

ESPN.com

Only a handful of teams opened the season last week, but the action did impact ESPN.com's Bottom 10.

Here's what you had to say about the week two rankings:

At least we're not ...

I'm not going to say UL-Lafayette doesn't deserve that ranking, cuz we do. And I'm not going to say this season is going to be the immaculate turnaround cuz it probably won't be. After all when you get outside of the Sun Belt, we play Texas A&M, Minnesota, LSU, and Arkansas. So, don't expect us to be making any waves. However, please split us apart from UL Monroe, that's disgusting. We're the only two teams that are together. We beat them last year -- barely. For the love of God, give us our own column.

Jayhawk Serenade

OK, I know Kansas University isn't the best football team in the land. I have been a Jayhawks fan ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper and having to leave Kansas for Oklahoma of all places hasn't done me any good. Although Kansas is one of the cellar dwellers in the Big 12, I don't believe they belong on the Bottom 10 list you have. The Big 12 is a very tough league and on any given Saturday most Big 12 teams can play with any team in the country -- just look at Iowa State almost beating FSU. I can see you placing KU at the lower end of the Big 12 and although it saddens me I dont' totally disagree, but the Bottom 10?????????? Come on guys, KU is not even in the bottom 25 worst teams in the land if you include mid-majors -- which should not get special sympathy just because they aren't in the Big 12, SEC, ACC, Pac-10 -- or any other top notch division.

Fashionably bad

I think your "Bottom 10" is going to look pretty stupid when Tulsa gets throttled by Baylor and Kansas.

Plan ahead, move Tulsa down to your "Bottom 10" before it becomes fashionable.

Missing in action

I'd be interested to know exactly what Notre Dame did to be taken off the waiting list? Was that scrimmage last week better than you expected?

Brian
Grand Rapids, Mich.

I think Notre Dame should be back on the waiting list. Don't let those whining fans get to you, I would like to see them back up next week.

Houston, we have a problem

As proud student of the University of Houston, I'm very upset we dropped from the two spot to three without a chance to play a game and show how bad we are. Go coogs 0-13.

The buzz on Vandy

FINALLY! A Top Ten poll Vandy can make!

Danny Spencer
Maryville, Tenn.

Vandy beats the Bumble Bees in Altanta and escapes the Bottom 10. Chan Gailey longs for NFL. Film at 11.

Scott McDonald
Atlanta, Ga.

And the nominees are ...

Four words. Where is Utah State?

Matt Theel
Salt Lake City

Central Michigan and Buffalo both have an excellent chance to make the dishonorable mention list, perhaps even crack the Tepid Ten. I understand some of the "Baby Bulls" don't know the way to UB Stadium as of yet.
