Snowy Revenge for Sherrill
State's Dontae Walker plows 44 yards for a touchdown. In the best finish of the bowl season so far, Jackie Sherrill and Mississippi State defeated Texas A&M 43-41 in overtime during a snow storm. Wayne Madkin's 6-yard scramble won it for the Bulldogs, who blocked an Aggie PAT attempt and returned it for two points before the game-winning drive.

"As an unbiased observer I think I am well suited to point out one major advantage that MSU has. Joe Lee Dunn is the best defensive coordinator in the country right now and one of the best of our era. He has been making Sherrill look good for a while now. I don't see Texas A&M moving the ball very much. If MSU can keep turnovers to a minimum they should roll. MSU 17, A&M 6."
