MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Chris Redman's 18-yard pass to Lavell Boyd with six seconds remaining Saturday night rallied Louisville to a 32-31 victory over Memphis.

The scoring pass capped two fourth-quarter drives engineered by Redman.

The Cardinals overcame a 31-19 Memphis in the final 5:37.

Redman, who finished with 385 yards passing on 33-of-47, connected with Arnold Jackson from 38 yards away about four minutes before his winning touchdown toss.

Earlier in the game, Redmond connected with tight end Ibn Green on scoring passes of 1 and 2 yards.

The Cardinals (4-3, 1-1 Conference USA) took an early lead scoring 19 points in the first quarter.

Memphis (2-5, 1-1) then scored 31 straight points.

Redman's first two touchdown passes to Green and a 1-yard run by Frank Moreau built the early Louisville advantage.

The Cardinals' third touchdown, the 2-yarder to Green, came after Memphis blocked a 38-yard field goal by Jon Hilbert. Officials ruled a Memphis player touched the ball at the Tiger 2 and Louisville recovered.

The resulting touchdown, and the entrance of reserve quarterback Travis Anglin seemed to ignite the Tigers.

Memphis cut its halftime deficit to 19-10 with a 2-yard run by Gerard Arnold and a 22-yard field goal by Ryan White.

In the second half, Memphis continued to pour on the offense behind the running of Arnold, who finished with 144 yards rushing on 27 carries, and Anglin's leadership.

The big defensive play for the Tigers came with just under six minutes to play in the third quarter.

With Redman back to pass, he was hit by Caspor Stiles, the ball popped free and was caught in the air by Corey Irby. He ran 84 yards for a touchdown to pull Memphis within 19-17.

Memphis would add a 1-yard run by Anglin and a 5-yard run by Teofilo Riley in the fourth quarter for its biggest lead of the night.

Redman, who seemed frustrated by the Tigers' heavy rush, answered with a 74-yard drive resulting in the touchdown pass to Jackson, and the final touchdown toss to Boyd.
