Wednesday was a night for the Big Ten to redeem itself in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, but the ACC still took the title by winning five of the nine games overall. No. 7 Michigan State won the marquee matchup with a dominating 86-76 victory over No. 2 North Carolina, and Penn State and Michigan also captured wins for the Big Ten. But Justin Gainey hit the game-winning 3-pointer to give North Carolina State the night's other big upset by knocking off No. 21 Purdue 61-59, and Florida State secured the Challenge title for the ACC with a 60-46 victory over Northwestern in the final game.
