The Nets don't need personnel, they need direction. And that's a good thing, considering their first pick isn't until No. 34. New Jersey needs some toughness in the frontcourt and a dead-eye perimeter shooter (the Nets shot 33.1 percent from the 3-point line) to take pressure off Keith Van Horn inside and Stephon Marbury outside.
