CLEVELAND (AP) _ Terrell Brandon, playing in Gund Arena for the first time since being traded by Cleveland, made a key jumper and six free throws in the final 1:36, rallying the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 100-94 victory over the Cavaliers on Monday night.

Brandon, one of the players involved in the three-way trade that brought Shawn Kemp to the Cavs, had 17 points, 11 assists and four steals as the Timberwolves won for just the second time in 10 games.

Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 18 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who snapped a six-game losing streak against the Cavs and won for the first time in Cleveland in nine games.

Bob Sura had 20 points, and Andrew DeClercq added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Cavs, who went 6:38 without a field goal before getting two uncontested layups in the final 10 seconds.

Minnesota guard Bobby Jackson scored 12 points but didn't return to the game after injuring his right knee during a collision under the basket with 34 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Timberwolves, who trailed by 18 points in the first quarter, made 36 of 44 free throws, including 29 of 35 in the second half. Minnesota also got a big night from its reserves, who outscored Cleveland's backups 42-15.

Brandon, who was injured and did not play when he came back to play in Cleveland on previous visits with Milwaukee and Minnesota, hit a 15-foot jumper with 1:36 left to give the Timberwolves their first lead at 90-89.

After Shawn Kemp missed a shot in heavy traffic underneath, Garnett dropped a short jumper to make give Minnesota a three-point lead.

Sura missed a jumper on the Cavs' next trip, and Brandon made the first two of six free throws in the final 26 seconds to seal the win.

Kemp, who entered the game shooting just 41 percent from the floor, was 4-for-15 from the field. He and Brevin Knight each finished with 16 points.

Notes: Minnesota, the NBA's worst 3-point shooting team, missed on its two attempts from behind the arc. ... Kemp, criticized for being overweight and not getting off the floor like he used to, drove past Garnett and threw down a vicious windmill dunk in the third quarter that looked like the Kemp of old. ... With Minnesota rookie Wally Szczerbiak in town, more than 200 members of a Miami (Ohio) alumni club attended the game. Szczerbiak, whom the Cavs had hoped to draft, scored seven points. ... The Cavs have been outscored in the third quarter in 20 of their 24 games this season.
