Mourning made 15 of 23 shots, had 11 rebounds and eight blocked shots. Jamal Mashburn added 18 points and nine assists, and P.J. Brown had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

"We had a four-point lead (in the fourth quarter) then nothing went right from that point on," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "We actually got 30 more shots than they did, pretty amazing."

Trailing by four midway through the fourth quarter, Miami went on a 15-0 run to take a 99-88 lead with 1:52 remaining.

"The last five minutes we couldn't make a shot and they took over the game," Kings center Vlade Divac said.

The run started with two free throws by Mashburn. He later added a dunk on a fast break, putting the Heat ahead 90-88 with 5:14 remaining.

"It wasn't just me, we had a lot of guys step up in this game," Mourning said. "Our defense was the difference down the stretch. We made the proper stops when we needed them."

The Kings trailed the entire third quarter before Scot Pollard scored a basket inside and Predrag Stojakovic hit a 3-pointer to make it 80-78 heading to the fourth.

Mourning scored 20 points in the first quarter and had 26 in the opening half, helping the Heat take a 54-51 lead.
