RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME FLOW

CLEVELAND (AP) _ Jason Kidd's third steal of the game helped the Phoenix Suns finish the game with an 8-0 run for a 100-93 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

Penny Hardaway scored 22 points to lead six Suns in double figures, but was scoreless in the final quarter. Kidd scored 21, and his steal of a weak pass by Shawn Kemp with less than 40 seconds to play helped Phoenix hold the Cavaliers scoreless over the final 2:35.

Kidd was fouled by Andre Miller and made both free throws to give the Suns a 98-93 lead with 36.4 seconds to play. Two more free throws by Kidd in the final seconds finished the scoring.

Lamond Murray scored 18 points to lead Cleveland, which used a 20-6 run to take a 93-92 lead with 2:35 to play. Danny Ferry capped the spurt with two free throws after crashing to the floor when fouled hard by Cliff Robinson.

Kemp, who scored 15 points, missed an open shot and then threw the ball away in consecutive possessions in the final minute. The forward shot just 4-for-13 from the field and had four turnovers.

Rodney Rogers hit three 3-pointers in the second quarter to help Phoenix take a 54-48 halftime lead.

Cleveland's second unit, sparked by 5-foot-5 Earl Boykins, kept the Cavaliers close. During a 6:20 span in the second quarter in which Boykins played the point, Cleveland outscored the Suns 13-7 and did not make a turnover.

Boykins did not play at all in the second half, however, as Cavaliers coach Randy Wittman was reluctant to match up the diminutive guard against Kidd, who leads the NBA in assists and is fourth in steals.

Notes: The Cavaliers have reduced ticket prices on all upper bowl seats for six games in March. Tickets regularly priced at $34, $26 and $18 will be sold for $11. ... Cleveland had won 10 of the 15 previous meetings with the Suns. ... The Cavs shot 5-of-10 from 3-point range in the first half, then misfired on all four of their shots from beyond the arc in the second half. ... Phoenix was 0-for-5 from 3-point range after the break.
