INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Reggie Miller says the Detroit Pistons are at least partly responsible for the Indiana Pacers' record 23-game home winning streak. Miller scored 24 points and Jalen Rose had 20 as Indiana overcame the absence of Dale Davis and Al Harrington to beat Detroit 115-105 Tuesday night. Indiana hasn't lost at Conseco Fieldhouse since falling 107-99 to the Pistons on Thanksgiving Day. "They're the ones that really started all this, stemming from Thanksgiving Day," Miller said. "They really manhandled us. So this was a big win for us because we know what they're capable of doing." Grant Hill led the Pistons with 37 points and Jerry Stackhouse added 32, but they got little help from their teammates. "They're one of those teams, because of Grant and Stack, that can really put up big numbers, which they did tonight. But I think we did a good job of neutralizing everyone else," Miller said. "That really hurts us," Pistons coach Alvin Gentry said of his team's lack of scoring balance. "We need a third or fourth guy to step up." Davis sat out with a pulled hamstring and Harrington had a bruised calf muscle. Rik Smits scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Mark Jackson added 13 points and 13 assists and Austin Croshere, playing for Davis, added 13 points. "It was amazing how he (Davis) was out, and to bring in a young guy like Croshere. ... He plays great," Hill said. "They are well-coached have a good starting five and a solid bench, and that's going to make them tough down the stretch." Christian Laettner hit two baskets as the Pistons scored the game's first six points, but Croshere scored seven points to pace an 18-3 Indiana run over a 4:34 stretch for an 18-9 lead. A 10-2 flurry over the last 3:26 of the period pushed the lead to 33-15. Stackhouse missed all seven of his shots, Detroit shot just 6-of-27 (22.2 percent) and Indiana outrebounded the Pistons 22-12 in the first 12 minutes. Hill shot 4-of-5 and Stackhouse 4-of-6 as the Pistons shot 15-of-23 in the second quarter, outrebounded the Pacers 13-6, outscored them 34-25 and cut the deficit to 57-49 at the half. Detroit rallied to 92-88 with nine minutes remaining, but the Pistons went cold and the Pacers pulled away.
