	Griffey was the Player of the '90s It was showtime in Las Vegas as the Major League Baseball Players Association handed out the 1999 Players Choice Awards on Friday. Baseball's biggest names were in attendance and Boston Red Sox ace Pedro Martinez and Ken Griffey, Jr. were the night's big winners. Martinez took home his third straight Outstanding Pitcher award and the Player of the Year honor while Ken Griffey Jr. was named the Player of the '90s.
