All other leaders stay the same
NEW YORK -- Oakland's Jason Giambi moved back into the lead in voting for the starting first baseman on the All-Star team Tuesday, overtaking Cleveland's Jim Thome, who had been first last week.

Giambi had 393,124 votes, followed by Thome (349,438) and New York's Tino Martinez (319,030). While Thome led by 35,528 last week, Giambi was 410 votes ahead two weeks ago.

All other players in line to start maintained their leads.

Texas catcher Ivan Rodriguez had the most votes (1,055,289), with New York's Jorge Posada (366,795) moving back into second, ahead of Cleveland's Sandy Alomar (346,111).

Cleveland second baseman Roberto Alomar (975,692) had the largest lead, with New York's Chuck Knoblauch (311,490) second.

Seattle's Alex Rodriguez (636,796) topped shortstops, followed by the Yankees' Derek Jeter (546,779) and Boston's Nomar Garciaparra (507,431).

Baltimore's Cal Ripken, who has been in 16 consecutive All-Star games -- all as a starter -- led third basemen at 755,309. Anaheim's Troy Glaus (300,004) moved back into second, with Cleveland's Travis Fryman (299,940) third.

The top three outfielders maintained their positions: Kansas City's Jermaine Dye (602,512) was first, just 517 votes ahead of the Yankees' Bernie Williams (601,995). Cleveland's Manny Ramirez (519,849) was third.

Boston's Carl Everett (465,694) moved into fourth, passing Cleveland's Kenny Lofton (432,943).

Updated NL vote totals were released Monday, and voting continues through June 27 at ballparks and July 1 on the Internet.

Starters for the July 11 game at Atlanta's Turner Field will be announced July 4, with reserves picked the following day.
