Houston: C-INF Alan Zinter and RHP Scott Linebrink joined the Astros in Milwaukee. Zinter, 34, was called up Sunday night from Triple-A New Orleans. It is his first time in the majors after 14 seasons in the minor leagues. Linebrink was activated Sunday after a rehab assignment in Double-A Round Rock for a strained right elbow. Infielders Adam Everett and Keith Ginter were optioned to New Orleans to make room on the roster. ... RHP Kirk Saarloos will be called up from Round Rock on Tuesday and will start against the Brewers. Saarloos was 10-1 with a 1.40 ERA with Round Rock. Saarloos was married last Saturday. ... When Saarloos, 23, joins the Astros starting rotation, everyone in it will be 25 or under. Wade Miller is 25, Roy Oswalt 24, Tim Redding 24 and Carlos Hernandez 22.

Milwaukee: 3B Tyler Houston is hitting .818 (9-for-11) in interleague play. ... The Brewers lead the majors with 19 losses by one run. ... Manager Jerry Royster held a meeting with his team and told them, "It's not OK to come back and tie the score, and then lose a game. We have to get over the hump.'' The Brewers, who are 1-9 in their last 10 games, have rallied in several of them. ... Two Brewers' minor-leaguers have been selected to play in the Futures Game on the Sunday before the All-Star Game. INF Bill Hall of Triple-A Indianapolis and INF Corey Hart of Class A High Desert will play for the U.S. team, which will be managed by former Brewer Paul Molitor. ...
