GAME LOG
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Daylong rain and the forecast for more prompted the Los Angeles Dodgers to postpone Monday night's game against the Houston Astros some 5½ hours before it was supposed to begin. The game will be made up June 8 -- after the Dodgers return from a three-game interleague series against the Texas Rangers, extending a 10-game homestand to 11. The rainout was just the 17th in the 39-year history of Dodger Stadium. One game was rained out last year, against Colorado on April 11. That ended a club-record 856-game streak over a span of nearly 11 years without a rainout. The teams, who have both lost two straight, are scheduled to play again Tuesday and Wednesday nights. It's expected that Octavio Dotel (0-1) will pitch for the Astros against Darren Dreifort (0-1) before Scott Elarton (0-0) opposes Los Angeles' Carlos Perez (1-1) in the finale. The Dodgers, who have played only three home games and nine away, hit the road after Wednesday night's game for a seven-game road trip starting Friday night in Cincinnati.
Included is a game at New York against the Mets on Monday night,
a makeup game for a contest scheduled at Shea Stadium on April 9
that was snowed out.
