TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Kevin Beirne tossed three scoreless innings and Yamil Benitez and Julio Encarnacion doubled and drove in two runs apiece as a split squad of Chicago White Sox posted an 8-2 Cactus League triumph over the Seattle Mariners.

Beirne allowed just one hit and two walks and Tanyon Sturtze followed by allowing one earned run over three frames. Matt Ginter had two hitless innings before 24-year Jesus Pena finished up.

Joe Crede had three hits, including a double, for the White Sox, who recorded 12 hits.

Gil Meche started for the Mariners and allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. Paul Abbott was hit hard in relief, surrendering four runs and five hits in 3 1/3 innings.

Stan Javier had two of Seattle's five hits.
