MARYVALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Jose Fernandez continued his torrid spring by capping a six-run ninth-inning outburst with a two-run home run, lifting the Milwaukee Brewers to a wild 10-9 Cactus League victory over the San Diego Padres.

The split squads were tied at 4-4 entering the ninth before the Padres rallied for five runs in the top of the frame, highlighted by Ryan Radmanovich's two-run homer.

But Milwaukee, which had already received home runs from Damon Hollins and Bobby Hughes off starter Carlos Almanzar, was far from done.

Tyler Houston led off the bottom of the ninth with a solo blast and the Brewers pushed across another run before prospect Josh Klimex, who was added to help fill out the split-squad roster earlier today, hit a two-run shot to make it 9-7. Fernandez followed Kevin Barker's RBI single with a two-run homer.

Fernandez, who was been backing up Jose Hernandez at third base, has three homers, 10 RBI and is batting .520 (13-for-25) this spring in his chase for one of the Brewers' 25 roster spots.

Wiki Gonzazlez also homered for San Diego, which held a 4-0 lead before the Brewers came back.
