Background: Ward and her brother always shot together as kids and she grew up in a very competitive environment. She works 50 to 60 hours a week now and still makes time to compete in archery competitions two weekends a month. Her family is very supportive and understands the time she needs to spend training. She says the key to victory is having steady nerves, and being able to focus on the target. She loves this sport because men and women can compete equally.

Records Held: Two National IBO titles; First National Champion "Shooter of the Year in 1997," in Lexington, Kentucky
