Background: Brown was raised in a family that was always on the water fishing. He moved to Bozeman as a child and began flyfishing at an early age. To prepare for competition, Brown practices every day on all casting disciplines. He loves the sport because of the beauty, the challenge of delivering a fly to a fish and being alone with his dog Whiskey on any river.

Competitive history: Brown has 29 years of flyfishing experience. He is considered one of the Yellowstone's most experienced guides. Brown also has an extensive saltwater flyfishing background.
