UConn Huskies: stock up

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

April 1
Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.

At 39-0, Geno Auriemma is unbelievable, baby! Auriemma joins John Wooden as the only other Division I coach to have multiple undefeated seasons. How about a salute to the UConn women? They're multi-talented, multidimensional and have five players who could be potential first-round WNBA selections. The sensational Huskies have really raised the stature of women's college basketball. Congratulations to the UConn women's team for going undefeated with an 82-70 championship victory over Oklahoma! They beat all comers, baby!

A salute to Mike Davis and Gary Williams for getting their teams to the national championship game. Williams' Terps survived a late comeback by Kansas, and Davis has done a terrific job with the Hoosiers. Remember, the Hoosiers beat Duke and Oklahoma en route to this title game. Don't count them out -- especially 17 years to the day of Villanova's upset of Georgetown.

Maryland's Juan Dixon on offense and Indiana's Dane Fife on defense -- only one will prevail in Monday's big game. Will it be Dixon shooting on the perimeter or Fife stopping him?

Jose Canseco was cut by the Montreal Expos last week. Chasing 500 home runs and the Hall of Fame, does Canseco have the credentials to make it? Will someone pick him up?

I may sound like a broken record but what's up with New Jersey Nets center Kenyon Martin? When will he start maturing? Will his behavior hurt his team come playoff time?

The Anaheim Angels blanked on Opening Day, as Bartolo Colon and the Cleveland Indians were able to keep the Angels off the scoreboard. What a great way to start the season.
